How to Get Involved
Where do I start?
Congratulations on your decision to enrich your college experience by becoming involved on campus. Getting involved is a GREAT way to make a difference, give back to the university/community, start new friendships, learn more about yourself, help others, and most importantly.... have fun and make the most of your college years! When involved with a club or organization on campus, it will go on your co-curricular transcript which you can use as a record of all the extra curricular activites you have done during your years as an Appalachian student.
The first step in getting involved on campus is to have an idea of what you are intersted in. What hobbies do you have? What do you do in your free time? What do you like to learn more about?
Second, look through our club and organization directory for over 270 clubs and organizations that are on our campus and circle/conact the ones that interest you to learn more about them.
Next, come by the Center for Student Involvement and Leadership located on the second floor of Plemmons Student Union and talk to someone about the different ways you can get involved, whether it be through academics, sports, leadership, greek life, community service, and misc. intersts and they can guide you in the right direction towards a great experience.
